Les Chemins d'Arty
The Champagne Les Chemins d’Atry by Maurice Choppin is a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Meunier grapes, selected from old vines through massal selection. The parcels, located on hillside slopes around Damery, lie on outcropping chalk soils and are farmed using environmentally respectful practices that honor the natural cycles of the soil, fully aligned with the producer’s philosophy.
The 2022 harvest was vinified in a 1,000 L tronconic vat, with spontaneous fermentation and no fining or filtration. After maturing for around 8 months in tank, the wine was bottled for tirage and continued its evolution on the lees for a minimum of 18 months. No dosage was added (Extra-Brut 0 g/l), reflecting a stylistic choice aimed at purity and transparency.
On the palate, Les Chemins d’Atry reveals a vertical, saline structure, shaped by a distinct mineral tension that defines its character. The aromatic profile unfolds with notes of toasted hazelnut, dried citrus, and subtle spices, delivering a vibrant, pure and persistent taste that authentically expresses the identity of Meunier and its terroir.
