Champagne Maurice Choppin
Rosé
The Champagne Rosé by Maurice Choppin comes from Damery and Vinay, in the Vallée de la Marne, and represents an authentic expression of the producer’s style, focused on enhancing the territory through a respectful and artisanal approach. The vineyards, farmed with attention to biodiversity, are rooted in predominantly calcareous soils, contributing to freshness, precision and clarity of expression.
This edition, base harvest 2021, is built on 93% Chardonnay and 7% Meunier, with vinification and maturation in fût de chêne adding structure and complexity without weighing down the profile. After tirage, it undergoes around 24 months on the lees, bringing integration and depth while preserving energy and tension. The final dosage of 0.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, refines the balance with precision, allowing the wine’s identity to emerge clearly.
On tasting, it reveals aromas of delicate red fruits, citrus and light floral notes, with subtle mineral hints. On the palate it combines freshness and finesse, supported by an elegant savory texture and a precise mousse, leading to a long, clean and balanced finish that consistently reflects the character of the terroir.
