Champagne Lointier
Negra V22
The Champagne Negra by Lointier is a Blanc de Noirs entirely devoted to Pinot Noir, a variety that here reveals an unexpected and characterful personality, far from the more conventional profiles of the grape. The grapes come from the lieu-dit "Les Gueuvaines" near the village of Gland, in the western part of the Vallée de la Marne, where the clay-limestone soils worked biodynamically imprint on the wine a vibrant tension and a marked territorial signature, conveying the authenticity of a terroir interpreted by the young vignerons of the Domaine with rare coherence and respect for the raw material.
This edition, based on the 2022 harvest, is vinified and matured for eleven months in used barriques, a choice that brings depth and complexity while preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit. After tirage comes an ageing of over twenty-four months on its own lees, at the end of which the final dosage of 0.8 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, preserves its balance and tension, offering an authentic and refined reading of the terroir of origin.
On the palate, Negra is rich and juicy in its aromatics, marked by notes of red apple, cherry and blackberry that intertwine with spicy and slightly earthy nuances, perfectly integrated into its vinous and balanced nature. The palate is powerful and fresh at the same time, sustained by a dynamic and enveloping effervescence and a long and deep persistence, with a development that promises to gain further tension and structure over time, confirming the extraordinary expressiveness of this cuvée.
