The Champagne Jane de Rouales Millésime 2018 by Jean Valentin is produced in Sacy, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, and offers a precise interpretation of a generous, sun-filled vintage, while maintaining restraint and balance. The cuvée takes its name from the lieu-dit Jane de Rouales, a parcel capable of delivering a clear reading of the terroir, where the ripeness of the vintage is integrated with the natural tension typical of this area of the Montagne de Reims. Jean Valentin’s style remains faithful to a classic and essential approach, focused on enhancing vineyard identity and the expressive coherence of the vintage.

This Millésime 2018 edition—shaped by favourable climatic conditions and complete ripening—is obtained from an assemblage of the three Champenois grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier, sourced exclusively from estate-owned vineyards. Vinification takes place in stainless steel, a choice that favours aromatic precision and clarity of varietal expression. After bottling, the wine undergoes extended ageing on the lees, a key factor in building structure and complexity, with a final dosage in Brut style.

In tasting, Jane de Rouales Millésime 2018 shows an intense golden colour and a fine, regular perlage. The aromatic profile is broad and harmonious, with notes of ripe white-fleshed fruit, sweet citrus, and delicate hints of bread crust and mineral nuances.
