L'Intemporelle 2018

The Champagne L’Intemporelle embodies the perfect synthesis of aesthetics and elegance, combining spring freshness and vintage maturity in an extraordinary balance of harmony. Created in 1990 as a tribute to the tradition of the Coopérative, this cuvée is today one of Mailly’s most recognizable signatures, capable of uniting technical precision, aromatic finesse, and sensory pleasure.

This edition, Millésime 2018, is the result of a blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), sourced from the finest lieux-dits of the Mailly-Champagne Grand Cru, selected for their natural balance and their ability to merge intensity and delicacy. Only juice from the first pressing ensures maximum purity; this is followed by fermentation and complete malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel, before a long ageing on the lees for a minimum of five years in the traditional chalk crayères. The final dosage of 4.7 g/l defines a Brut style that is both balanced and creamy, perfectly aligned with the philosophy of timeless elegance that gives the cuvée its name.

On tasting, L’Intemporelle 2018 displays a bright golden hue, with a fine and regular perlage. On the nose, it releases floral notes interwoven with juicy white fruits and citrus zest, accompanied by delicate hints of light honey and damp chalk. On the palate, it is silky and enveloping, supported by a lively creaminess and vibrant freshness that extend into a saline, chalky finish of clear precision and refined persistence. Produced in a limited edition of only 11,168 individually numbered bottles.
