The Champagne Special Club 2015 by J.M. Goulard is a pure and sophisticated representation of the Massif de Saint-Thierry, a hilly area northwest of Reims. Produced by Damien Goulard, fourth-generation winegrower, it embodies the perfect synthesis of family tradition and commitment to organic viticulture, with meticulous work across more than 50 parcels spread over 8 hectares.

The grapes come from varied soils – sand, clay, and chalk – which lend the wine complexity and structure. The 2015 vintage blend combines 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 30% Meunier. The winemaking process includes fermentation in stainless steel vats, malolactic fermentation, and lees aging for at least 42 months. The Brut dosage of 7 g/l perfectly balances roundness and tension.

Upon tasting, the Special Club 2015 displays a bright golden yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it immediately reveals its finesse with floral notes and ripe fruit, followed by hints of candied citrus, fresh pineapple, and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is both fresh and powerful, with a creamy, velvety effervescence that supports a solid structure and vibrant minerality. The finish, long and well supported by acidity, plays between a gentle sweetness and the liveliness of tangy fruits, delivering an elegant and persistent tactile sensation.
