The Champagne Cuvée 201 Millésime 2009 by Perseval-Farge originates from Premier Cru vineyards in Chamery, in the Montagne de Reims, and represents an authentic and refined interpretation of the Domaine’s style. The blend, composed of 50% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier, and 30% Pinot Noir, builds a balanced profile between tension, breadth, and depth, precisely highlighting the character of the vintage.
Vinification and fermentation take place partly in stainless steel and about 30% in oak barrels, with only partial malolactic fermentation, a choice that preserves freshness and energy. After bottling, the wine undergoes extended ageing on the lees for over 14 years, essential for developing complexity and depth. No final dosage, in Brut Nature style, enhances precision, verticality, and full expressive clarity.
On the palate, Cuvée 201 Millésime 2009 stands out for its broad and layered profile. The nose reveals notes of white fruits and citrus, accompanied by more evolved hints of candied fruit, honey, almond, and custard. It shows fullness and definition, supported by a mineral texture and vibrant acidity, leading to a long, deep, and elegant finish.
