Champagne Diebolt-Vallois
Rosé
The Champagne Rosé by Diebolt-Vallois seduces with its luminous elegance and lively personality, the fruit of a mosaic of terroirs stretching from the Premier Cru of Cuis to the vines of Épernay, from the Vallée de l'Ardre to the slopes of the Côte des Bar. A refined expression of the family style, this Rosé cuvée reflects an artisanal philosophy attentive to balance and naturalness, where every origin helps to compose a portrait of great finesse, vitality and expressive depth.
This edition, based on the 2021 harvest, comes from a blend of 70% Chardonnay grapes and 21% Pinot Noir, with 9% of vin rouge from Bouzy, a terroir classified as Grand Cru, which gives the wine its characteristic rosé colour, and vinification and fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks. After the tirage comes an ageing on the lees of at least 24 months, while the final dosage of 2 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, enhances its freshness and mineral precision.
On tasting, it shows an intense pink illuminated by garnet reflections and by a fine perlage, opening on the nose with an exuberance of red fruits such as raspberry, currant and wild strawberry, embellished by hints of pink grapefruit, blood orange and fennel. On the palate it is fresh and vigorous at once, with a creamy texture and a vibrant acidity that lends brightness, while the fruity notes converse with delicate spicy nuances of clove and cardamom in a long and elegant finish.
