Les Terres des Buissons 2017
The Champagne Les Terres des Buissons by Bonnaire is a Blanc de Blancs born entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the eponymous lieu-dit, a precious vineyard stretching across a deep, chalky terroir near Cramant, a village classified 100% Grand Cru in the celebrated CĂ´te des Blancs. The philosophy behind this label celebrates the absolute purity of the variety and the extraordinary ability of the limestone soil to impart tension, finesse and elegance.
This edition, Vintage 2017, interprets a year marked by one of the earliest harvests in recent decades, in which the Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs was able to preserve freshness and mineral drive thanks to the chalky depth of its terroir. Vinification and fermentation take place in fût de chêne, while after tirage the wine undergoes a prolonged maturation on its own lees for 60 months. The final dosage of 1.5 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, safeguards the verticality and the natural freshness that define this wine.
On the palate, Les Terres des Buissons 2017 reveals a pale gold robe crossed by luminous reflections, introducing an aromatic range in which citrus and floral notes converse with delicate hints of dried fruit and sweet spices. On the palate it unfolds with crystalline energy, supported by a refined balance between saline tension and enveloping substance, leading toward a slender, persistent finish of remarkable expressive coherence.
