Cramant Vintage 2017
The Champagne Cramant Vintage by Bonnaire is a Blanc de Blancs born exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, selected from the finest parcels of the Grand Cru village of Cramant, facing south in a privileged position in the CĂ´te des Blancs. On this terroir of deeply chalky soils, Chardonnay reveals its dual soul, able to combine power and elegance in a rare balance, where the intense and crystalline minerality becomes the most authentic signature of one of the most celebrated villages in all of Champagne.
This edition, Vintage 2017, involves vinification and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by a long ageing on its own lees for a minimum of 72 months. This extended rest gives the wine an extraordinary complexity and finesse, enhancing the powerful yet elegant character that distinguishes the terroir of Cramant. The final dosage of 2.5 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, preserves its tension and clarity, allowing the varietal purity of Chardonnay to emerge with full freedom.
On the palate, the Cramant Vintage 2017 shows an elegant golden colour accompanied by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, distinctive notes of chalky minerality and fresh citrus emerge, anticipating the complexity of the palate. Here it stands out for a seductive elegance, with hints of candied fruit, mineral nuances and a delicate buttery touch. It reveals remarkable richness combined with extraordinary complexity, which blend into a long persistence and a vibrant sensation of freshness, making the experience intense and captivating.
