Champagne André Beaufort
Ambonnay Rosé
The Champagne Rosé Ambonnay by André Beaufort originates in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, a historic benchmark of the Montagne de Reims, and is the expression of a radical and consistent agricultural vision that the producer has pursued for over 50 years. Here, viticulture follows natural principles, with traditional agricultural and winemaking practices aimed at preserving vineyard balance and achieving the most authentic reading of the terroir. The grapes come exclusively from Pinot Noir grown in the village’s Grand Cru vineyards, interpreted without technical shortcuts or stylistic concessions.
This cuvée is produced according to the Rosé de Saignée method, with color extraction obtained through direct contact between the must and the Pinot Noir skins, a choice that provides greater structure and expressive depth. The first fermentation takes place in oak barrels, and after tirage the wine continues with an aging on the lees of approximately 30 months. The dosage, in Brut style, is carried out exclusively using natural sugars, such as grape must and concentrated grape juice, in line with the Maison’s production philosophy.
In tasting, Rosé Ambonnay appears rich and structured, with an aromatic profile ranging from fruity and subtly citrus notes to more complex nuances of yeast and substance. On the palate, a broad and enveloping texture emerges, supported by well-integrated freshness, clear minerality, and a fine mousse that accompanies the wine’s gustatory progression. The overall balance and structural solidity clearly point to a strong capacity for aging over time.
