The Champagne Ambonnay Vinothèque by André Beaufort is crafted from a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay, in the Montagne de Reims. It stands as one of the most emblematic cuvées in Beaufort’s entire production, encapsulating the vigneron’s natural vision: indigenous yeasts, spontaneous fermentations, and the exclusive use of natural sugars—grape must and concentrated grape juice—for tirage. A radical, identity-driven style that has made Ambonnay Vinothèque true collector’s items, sought after for their longevity and their character outside contemporary conventions.
This 2009 vintage edition, recently disgorged, benefited from approximately fourteen years of lees ageing, a defining factor in its depth, complexity, and extraordinary capacity for evolution. The wine is released with no final dosage, in a Brut Nature style, offering a pure, unmediated expression of the Ambonnay terroir. Manual riddling and disgorgement à la volée complete a production path that fully respects the Champenoise tradition.
