Blanc de Blancs Millésime 2018
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Millésime by André Beaufort is produced exclusively from Chardonnay, selected from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards located in the Montagne de Reims. The vines are cultivated according to natural farming methods, tended directly by André Beaufort and his family, following a production path that prioritizes respect for biological cycles and an authentic reading of the terroir, without corrective interventions.
This 2018 vintage edition undergoes a first fermentation in oak barrels, a choice intended to support the wine’s structure without compromising varietal precision. After tirage, the wine continues with approximately 60 months of lees ageing, a process that plays a decisive role in shaping its complexity and integration. Both the tirage and the final dosage, in a Brut style, are carried out exclusively using natural sugars, such as grape must and concentrated grape juice, in full accordance with the Domaine’s philosophy.
In tasting, this Blanc de Blancs Millésime 2018 offers a rich and elegant interpretation of Chardonnay, with an aromatic profile that combines floral notes with nuances of lemon, white peach, and apple. On the palate, the texture is silky and harmonious, supported by a fine, well-integrated mousse and a precise minerality, leading to a long, savoury, and well-balanced finish, confirming a wine of elegance and expressive solidity.
