The Côteaux Champenois Blanc Août 2020 by Voirin-Jumel is a white wine of extraordinary finesse, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from old vineyards located around the prestigious Grand Cru village of Cramant, in the Côte des Blancs.
The grapes, carefully harvested in August 2020, were vinified and matured for around 11 months in oak barrels, with no filtering process, to preserve the integrity and expressive purity of the terroir as much as possible. Bottling, which took place in August 2021, resulted in a limited production of only 500 bottles, making this edition an exclusive expression of the Champenoise tradition.
The Côteaux Champenois Blanc Août 2020 embodies the absolute elegance and stylistic precision of Domaine Voirin-Jumel. The skilfully dosed ageing in wood enriches the wine without overpowering its intrinsic minerality, creating a perfect balance between freshness and structure. On the palate, it offers a refined and harmonious sensation, with a pleasant marine savouriness, a delicate spiciness and a long, enveloping finish. Its aromatic complexity, combined with its vibrant tension, makes it a wine of great personality, ideal for lovers of the most authentic expressions of Chardonnay.
