Champagne Vincent Bliard
Rosé Libre comme l'Air
The Champagne Rosé Libre comme l’Air by Vincent Bliard embodies the creative freedom of a Domaine from Hautvillers, in the Vallée de la Marne, which farms exclusively its own vines with a personal and never conventional vision. Conceived by Vincent and Marie-Odile, this original and unexpected cuvée takes shape from the desire to create a subtle yet surprising contrast between the power of tannins and a fresh elegance, giving life to a Rosé capable of amazing from the very first encounter.
This edition, based on the 2020 harvest and enriched with 15% vin de réserve from 2019, shows a prevalence of Chardonnay grapes at 70%, alongside 20% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier, with a portion of the Pinot Noir, equal to 7%, vinified as red wine to bring colour and tannic structure. Vinification and fermentation take place in barrel, where the wine matures for one year gaining depth and complexity, and after tirage it rests on the lees for over 42 months, a long ageing that refines the texture and harmoniously integrates the tannic component. The final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, completes this journey by preserving the purity and tension of the whole without softening its character.
On tasting, Rosé Libre comme l’Air stands out for its great personality, in which powerful, well-defined tannins engage in dialogue with an elegant and vibrant freshness. On the palate structure and finesse find an original balance, supported by a lively tension that carries through to a persistent finish of fine precision.
