The Champagne Sylve by Vincent Bliard represents an authentic expression of the Hautvillers terroir, a historic village in the Vallée de la Marne. The result of certified organic viticulture practiced since 1978, it perfectly embodies the artisanal, precise, and respectful approach that defines the Domaine’s philosophy. The name “Sylve” evokes a deep bond with nature and the woods surrounding the vineyards — a symbol of harmonious balance between biodiversity, tradition, and contemporary sensibility.

This edition comes from the 2014 harvest, with the addition of 5% vin de réserve, and is a blend of Pinot Noir (50%), Meunier (30%), and Chardonnay (20%), sourced from old vines planted on the clay–limestone slopes of Hautvillers. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, followed by about 10 months of aging on the lees before bottling. The wine then matures on its lees in bottle for over 72 months, before the final Extra Brut dosage (3 g/l), which enhances purity, tension, and expressive verticality.

On the palate, Sylve reveals a complex and vibrant profile: the nose opens with evolved notes of dried fruit, hazelnut, quince, and acacia honey, followed by hints of herbal tea, toasted bread, and wet chalk. The palate is tense and deep, animated by bright freshness and a creamy structure that amplifies its substance. The finish is long and saline, combining energy and finesse, and perfectly expressing the pure, essential, and natural style of Vincent Bliard.
