The Champagne Lydien by Stéphane Regnault is a Blanc de Blancs that authentically tells the mineral soul of the Côte des Blancs, an expression of a single Chardonnay parcel in the lieu-dit Le Chemin de Flavigny, planted in 1950 on the outskirts of the village of Oger. This chalky terroir, classified as 100% Grand Cru, gives the wine tension and energy, the result of a winemaking philosophy that pursues a faithful reading of the place, where the old vines and the deep chalk soil become the authentic signature of a sincere, uncompromising Champagne.

This edition N°119, with a 2020 base harvest, undergoes vinification 75% in used wooden barrels and 25% in steel vats, with the addition of a réserve perpétuelle integrating the harvests from 2014 to 2019. Fermentations occur spontaneously and the malolactic is left free to take its course according to the character of the year. After tirage comes ageing on the lees for at least 48 months. The final dosage of 1 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, discreetly completes a deep and saline blend.

On the palate, Lydien N°119 appears broad and generous, supported by a taut, crystalline acidity that traces its vertical profile and lends momentum to the whole. The structure is enveloping yet measured, with a saline depth that amplifies the sensation of freshness and carries the wine towards a long and persistent finish. The balance between density and mineral vibration remains always sharp, delivering a chalky-character close that elegantly prolongs every sip. Production in a limited run of 2,640 bottles.
