The Champagne Lydien N°99 by Stéphane Regnault is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the Lieu-Dit Le Chemin de Flavigny, a small vineyard planted in 1950 on chalky terroir. This vineyard is located near the village of Oger, a Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs. With a 2019 base vintage, the wine ages 20% in stainless steel tanks, 80% in used oak barrels, and the remaining 20% comes from the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 vintages. The final dosage, at 1 g/l (Extra Brut), contributes to making this Champagne particularly broad, generous, and marked by a deep saline minerality. Produced in limited quantity, with only 2,100 bottles, Lydien N°99 is an example of elegance and complexity in the Blanc de Blancs category.
