The Champagne Neyrot represents one of the most distinctive expressions of Domaine Demière Ansiot. This wine is born from the idea of highlighting a single terroir, the Lieu-dit Neyrot, a historic vineyard planted in 1967 near the Grand Cru village of Oger. It stands out for its pure chalk, old deep-rooted vines, and a viticulture based on precision and absolute respect for the plant — a project that brings together tradition, rigor, and an artisanal interpretation of Oger’s landscape.

This edition, Vintage 2016, comes from a luminous and concentrated harvest, vinified in steel to preserve aromatic purity and mineral tension. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in full, while the maturation on the lees extends for at least 7 years, shaping a creamy substance and a layered complexity. The dosage, kept low at 1.5 g/l and calibrated in an Extra Brut style, enhances the linearity of the Grand Cru Chardonnay and the finesse typical of Oger.

On the palate, Neyrot 2016 opens with notes of candied citrus, chalk, fresh hazelnut, white flowers, and hints of wet stone. The mouthfeel is tense and creamy, supported by a vibrant mineral backbone and an elegant structure. The balance between ripeness and freshness is impeccable; the finish is long and saline, with lingering impressions of lemon zest and almond that highlight its precision. A Blanc de Blancs of remarkable depth, energy, and chalky finesse, shaped by a pure and rigorous style.
