Champagne Pertois-Moriset
Les Jeamprins 2016
The Champagne Les Jeamprins 2016 by Pertois-Moriset is a Blanc de Blancs sourced from the eponymous lieu-dit in Oger, a Grand Cru village in the CĂ´te des Blancs, renowned for the elegance and purity of its Chardonnay. The vineyard, planted in 1983, enjoys a south-facing exposure and lies on a surface of clay soil, with chalk emerging from about 30 centimeters below.
Vinification is carried out 80% in stainless steel and 20% in oak barrels, with spontaneous fermentations and regular bâtonnage. After tirage, the wine matures for at least five years on its lees, developing depth and complexity while preserving freshness and tension. The final dosage, kept at 1.5 g/l, defines an Extra Brut style of remarkable precision and purity.
On the palate, Les Jeamprins 2016 displays a bright golden hue with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals aromas of ripe citrus fruits, white flowers, and delicate hints of hazelnut and chalk. The palate shows mineral tension, elegant structure, and a long, saline finish, an authentic reflection of its terroir.
Produced in a limited edition of only 1,907 bottles and 120 magnums, Les Jeamprins 2016 stands as a rare expression of the terroir of Oger and the savoir-faire of Pertois-Moriset.
