Champagne Pertois-Moriset
Oger 2018
The Champagne Oger by Pertois-Moriset is a Blanc de Blancs Millésime that precisely expresses the identity of Oger, a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs renowned for the expressive strength of Chardonnay on chalky soils. This cuvée comes from 4 parcels covering a total of 0.59 hectares, a focused selection that allows Pertois-Moriset to highlight a clear, deep and mineral interpretation of one of the area’s most recognizable terroirs.
This edition, Millésime 2018, is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes and is interpreted through vinification and fermentation carried out 78% in stainless steel tanks and the remaining part in wooden barrels, a choice that preserves aromatic precision and mineral tension while adding a subtle depth of texture. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for around 48 months, while the final dosage of 1.5 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, maintains an essential, vertical and luminous profile.
In tasting, Oger 2018 expresses a refined and incisive profile, with notes of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, pale flowers, chalky hints and delicate nuances of fresh almond. On the palate it is taut, elegant and progressive, supported by precise freshness and saline minerality that accompany a long, clean and persistent finish. Production declared for 3,360 bottles and 149 magnums.
