Monts Ferrés 2016
The Champagne Monts Ferrés 2016 is an auteur cuvée born from the vision of Charles Doyard, deeply connected to the identity of its terroir. It is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from carefully selected grapes in the Lieu-Dit Monts Ferrés, a parcel located near the village of Vertus, a Premier Cru in the prestigious Côte des Blancs.
The vinification takes place entirely in fût de chêne, following an artisanal approach aimed at complexity and finesse. The wine then rests for over 5 years on the lees, an ageing process that helps shape its structure and depth. The final dosage of just 1.2 g/l places it in the Extra Brut category, allowing the fruit and minerality to fully express themselves.
On tasting, Monts Ferrés 2016 opens on the nose with great clarity and intensity: crisp nashi pear, yellow stone fruit, mirabelle plum, notes of buttery pastry, honeycomb, and oyster shell. On the palate, it is full-bodied and pure, with an enveloping depth, ultra-fine mousse, and a vibrant acidity that supports a long, saline and mineral finish.
Produced in a limited edition of just 1,480 bottles and 120 magnums, Monts Ferrés 2016 is a Champagne that combines technical precision, artisanal spirit, and territorial vocation. An elegant and intense label, designed for those seeking authenticity and verticality in the glass.
