L'égoïste Magnum 2016
The Champagne L’égoïste 2016 by Pertois-Lebrun is a Blanc de Blancs Millésime crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from parcels located in the prestigious Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oiry and Chouilly. Vinification follows a dual stylistic approach, with fermentation and maturation in stainless steel (72%) and fût de chêne (28%), while the long 8-year lees aging after tirage shapes its complexity and elegance. The style is defined by an Extra Brut dosage (3 g/l), preserving the purity and identity of the terroir.
On the palate, L’égoïste 2016 displays a refined and elegant aromatic palette, with notes of brioche, white fruits and almonds. The silky bubbles accompany a sip of great balance, marked by precise acidity, smooth texture, and a lingering finish that stretches over mineral and chalky nuances, typical of the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. A Champagne of rare class and structure, produced in a limited edition: only 2,303 bottles and 102 magnums, making it a true label for connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
