Champagne Perseval-Farge
C. de Chardonnay Magnum
The Champagne C. de Chardonnay by Perseval-Farge is a refined and expressive Blanc de Blancs, crafted from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Premier Cru vineyards of Chamery, in the Montagne de Reims, on soils rich in chalk that enhance tension and aromatic precision. The cuvée consistently reflects the producer’s identity, expressing purity, verticality, and an authentic and detailed interpretation of the terroir.
This Magnum edition is based on a multi-vintage blend, with 2015 (47%) as the base, complemented by 2014 (21%) and 2013 (33%). Vinification and fermentation take place partly in stainless steel and about 16% in oak barrels, with only partial malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness and tension. After bottling, the wine undergoes around 8 years of ageing on the lees, essential for developing complexity and depth. The final dosage of 5 g/l, in Brut style, supports balance without weighing down the progression.
On the palate, C. de Chardonnay stands out for its precision and expressive brightness. The nose reveals notes of white fruit, citrus, and white flowers, enriched by elegant hints of lemon zest and almond. It is fresh, taut, and mineral, with a well-defined structure and a long, harmonious finish that highlights its finesse and balance.
