Fabien Bergeronneau is a vigneron based in Ville-Dommange, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, within the Petite Montagne de Reims, where his family has been rooted for generations and where an increasingly defined personal path has taken shape. After studying viticulture and oenology and gaining experience in Alsace and Australia, he returned to Champagne with a clear vision focused on respectful farming and a sensitive interpretation of his environment. Today he manages around 4 hectares between Ville-Dommange and Trigny, carrying out meticulous soil work, observed and interpreted also through direct analysis of its stratification.

From a territorial perspective, his work develops across the vineyards of two complementary areas of the Montagne de Reims: Ville-Dommange, in the Petite Montagne subzone, characterised by heterogeneous soils, a strong presence of Meunier and often north-facing slopes, where limestone contributes to tension and ageing potential, and Trigny, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, with clay-sandy soils that bring greater volume and texture. Parcels are vinified separately, with a predominant use of used oak to encourage controlled micro-oxygenation, while for the Meunier from Trigny stainless steel is preferred, in order to preserve integrity and expressive precision.

This dual territorial identity is reflected in Champagnes that combine energy and substance, tension and roundness, while always maintaining clarity. Ville-Dommange brings verticality and drive, while Trigny contributes breadth and structure, resulting in wines that are balanced yet consistently dynamic. Fabien Bergeronneau’s philosophy remains in constant evolution, guided by an empirical approach and ongoing research, where each harvest represents a new starting point and each cuvée becomes an authentic expression of the dialogue between man, soil and time.
