The Champagne Réserve by Leclerc Briant is the cuvée that best embodies the Maison's blending philosophy, a wine conceived to express with energy and clarity the soul of a terroir interpreted through organic and biodynamic viticulture. Born from the parcels around Cumières, Verneuil, Épernay and Cramant, it tells of the encounter between living soils and a viticulture that respects all living things, where freshness, vinosity and mineral purity coexist in a coherent, luminous expression deeply tied to the Champagne identity.
This edition, from the 2022 harvest, expresses a blend of 30% Pinot Noir grapes, 20% Meunier and 50% Chardonnay, where the three varieties converse with measure and balance. Vinification and maturation take place partly in oak barrels, with complete malolactic fermentation. After bottling comes an ageing on the lees for around 36 months that brings amplitude and finesse, while the final dosage of 3,8 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, reveals purity and precision without weighing down the wine's profile.
On tasting, it presents a taut and vibrant structure, supported by a citrus acidity that runs across the palate with energy and definition. The texture is both creamy and mineral, with a saline progression that amplifies freshness and depth, accompanying a vinous yet slender feel. The balance between roundness and tension delivers a long and mouthwatering persistence, where the chalky minerality signs off a clean, refined finish of great expressive coherence.
