Champagne Leclerc Briant

The Champagne Réserve by Leclerc Briant is the cuvée that best embodies the blending philosophy of the Maison, a wine conceived to express with energy and clarity the soul of a terroir interpreted through organic and biodynamic viticulture. Born from the parcels around Cumières, Verneuil, Épernay and Cramant, it tells of the encounter between living soils and a viticulture respectful of all living things, where freshness, vinosity and mineral purity coexist in an expression that is coherent, luminous and deeply tied to the Champenois identity.
This edition, from the 2018 harvest, expresses a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay grapes, in which the two varieties converse with measure and balance. Vinification and maturation take place partly in oak barrels, with malolactic fermentation completed. After tirage, the wine matures on its lees for about 72 months, which brings breadth and finesse, while the final dosage of 3.3 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, reveals purity and precision without weighing down the profile of the wine.
On the palate it appears with a luminous gold colour crossed by a fine and continuous perlage, introducing a broad aromatic profile in which white-fleshed fruit and citrus intertwine with delicate notes of pastry, white flowers and a mineral base. On the palate it reveals a vinous and enveloping substance, supported by a vibrant acidity and a structure of vertical profile, in a coherent balance between fullness of fruit and saline tension. The finish is long and deep, marked by a crystalline freshness and a persistent chalky imprint that confirms its finesse.
