The Champagne Rosé by Gaston Chiquet elegantly interprets the fruity and mineral side of the Vallée de la Marne, through grapes sourced exclusively from villages classified Premier Cru and Grand Cru. This cuvée comes from the meeting of Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a small proportion of Pinot Noir vin rouge giving it its characteristic rosé hue and greater aromatic depth, while maintaining a fresh, precise and terroir-driven style.

This edition comes from an assemblage made up of equal parts Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes, alongside 30% Chardonnay, and is vinified in stainless steel to preserve aromatic clarity, fruit freshness and expressive definition, while after tirage the wine ages on the lees for at least 3 years, gaining harmony and complexity without weighing down the profile. The final dosage, in Brut style, supports balance, finesse and continuity on the palate.

In tasting, this Rosé shows an elegant salmon-pink colour and a fine, persistent perlage, opening with notes of wild strawberries, raspberry, redcurrant, floral nuances and citrus touches. On the palate it reveals freshness, roundness and a pleasant mineral tension, with a balanced texture leading to a long, refined finish deeply connected to the terroirs of the Vallée de la Marne.

Gaston Chiquet

Gaston Chiquet is a family Domaine based in Dizy, a Premier Cru in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, whose winegrowing history dates back to 1746, when Nicolas Chiquet planted the family’s first vineyards. In 1919, the brothers Fernand and Gaston Chiquet were among the first vignerons to keep their own grapes, vinify them and market their Champagne directly, anticipating an independent vision deeply connected to vineyard work. The Gaston Chiquet label was created in 1935 and later developed through the expansion of the estate towards prestigious terroirs such as Aÿ and Hautvillers.

Today, the Domaine works around 23 hectares across Dizy, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers, with a production that enhances Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier through a precise interpretation of the different crus. Assemblage remains one of the central elements of the style, understood as a balance between territorial identity, family continuity and expressive finesse. The result is a range of harmonious, elegant and generous Champagnes, capable of combining depth, freshness and a strong artisanal imprint.
