Champagne Castille Rosé by Colin is a Rosé resulting from the blending of Chardonnay grapes (90%) and vin rouge from Pinot Noir (10%) from grapes from the property vineyards in Vertus - Premier Cru of the Côte des Blancs, cultivated according to the principles of certified Viticulture “Haute Valeur Environnementale - Niveau 3”.Based on the 2021 harvest (60%) with the addition of réserve perpétuelle (40%) since 2004, the vinification takes place in steel vats and oak barrels and aging on the yeasts for 18 to 30 months. Dosage 9 g/l (Brut).Champagne Castille Rosé is soft and full-bodied, bright and brilliant. On the nose, the aromas of red fruits reveal themselves first, followed by floral aromas of violet, peony and hyacinth and spicy notes of cloves and pepper on the finish. The palate is fresh and opens with aromas of cooked strawberries, citrus fruits and small red fruits, orange blossom and mentholated notes on the finish. A Champagne that goes well with meat and cheese dishes.

Colin

Winemakers for over seven generations, the Colin family has been producing Champagne since 1829, when Constant Piéton began cultivating the first vineyards. Since then, the management of the Domaine has continued generation after generation up to Geneviève Prieur, maternal grandmother of Richard and Romain Colin, Vigneron and current owners of the company. The Domaine is located in Vertus with the vineyards owned by approx eleven hectares distributed in the Grand Cru and Premier Cru of the Côte des Blancs, where the agricultural fields mingle with vineyards in a mix of different crops and terroirs.

The majority of the vineyard, planted in Chardonnay is located in Vertus, Bergères-les-Vertus and Cuis - Premier Cru; and to Cramant and Oiry - Grand Cru. A small part of the vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir and Meunier and is located in Sézanne. The Colins as farmers and winemakers have a deep knowledge of the land and approach it with care and respect following the principles of sustainable agriculture.

Colin Champagnes are the celebration of the great diversity of terroirs: each cru is vinified separately, so that each cuvée can express its unique and exceptional character. For the Colins, each vintage and each parcel is the exploration of the many facets of a precious land and the discovery of its many riches.
