Champagne François Secondé
Blanc de Noirs La Loge
The Champagne La Loge by François Secondé is a Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru that authentically tells the soul of Sillery, a historic village in the Montagne de Reims once renowned for the wines sought after by royal courts. From vines rooted in a chalky, luminous terroir comes a cuvée expressing the depth of a rare cru, where Pinot Noir finds an uncommon harmony between power and finesse. An artisanal philosophy that honours the memory of the place through a niche production.
This edition, based on the 2022 harvest with 30% coming from a réserve perpetuelle started in 2005 following the solera method, is born from Pinot Noir grapes picked in the finest parcels of Sillery. Vinification and maturation take place partly in fût de chêne, with full malolactic fermentation. After tirage follows ageing on the lees for over 24 months. The final dosage of 8 g/l, in Brut style, rounds off the cuvée's profile with measured balance.
On tasting, La Loge appears with a bright golden hue crossed by a fine and persistent perlage that forms a creamy mousse at the rim of the glass. The nose reveals ripe red fruits, notes of fresh pastry, white almond and spicy hints over a chalky background. On the palate it unfolds a powerful structure sustained by a vibrant acidity, with deep development and a compact texture. The finish, long and mineral, closes on a chiselled persistence of rare elegance.
