The Champagne Le Village 2017 by Secondé-Simon is a Blanc de Noirs of great character and depth, made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from the vineyards of Ambonnay, one of the most prestigious Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims, renowned for combining power, elegance, and mineral finesse.The 2017 vintage was marked by balanced climatic conditions, allowing for the harvest of perfectly ripe and healthy grapes. Vinification and aging take place in fût de chêne, following the vigneron’s artisanal tradition. After tirage, the wine ages for at least five years on its lees before dégorgement, with a final dosage of around 3 g/l (Extra Brut) — a choice that highlights the pure expression of Pinot Noir and the transparency of Ambonnay’s terroir.On tasting, Le Village 2017 reveals a pale gold color with copper reflections and a fine, steady mousse. The nose opens with ripe red fruits, candied citrus, toasted hazelnut, and sweet spices, enriched by mineral nuances of chalk and flint. The palate is broad, creamy, and structured, supported by vibrant freshness and a saline texture that enhances its verticality and precision.
