The Champagne Luminance 2019 by Franck Pascal is a Blanc de Blancs of remarkable purity, embodying the biodynamic philosophy and profound respect for nature that guide the vigneron’s work. Luminance highlights the elegance, finesse, and clarity of Chardonnay: sourced entirely from the terroirs of Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, it reveals the incisive minerality of hard limestone, the smoky nuances of flint, and the pleasant bitterness of white clay. This is a 2019 Millésime, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes of exceptional quality.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, without filtration or fining, in order to preserve the wine’s integrity and vitality. After tirage, it matures on the lees for at least four years, while the final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances the transparency and mineral tension that define Franck Pascal’s unmistakable signature.
On tasting, Luminance 2019 appears luminous, with a pale golden hue and bright reflections. The nose is refined and vertical, offering aromas of fresh citrus, green apple, and white flowers intertwined with a delicate mineral vein. The palate is pure and vibrant, with a silky mousse supporting a taut, dynamic structure, while the long, saline finish reveals a crystalline energy. A radiant and vital Blanc de Blancs Champagne that perfectly embodies the light and harmony evoked by its name.
