The Champagne Cépages Blancs by Fleury expresses a rare and distinctive interpretation of Champagne, where Pinot Blanc, counted among the Cépages Oubliés, joins Chardonnay in a blend of remarkable finesse and character. The parcels of Côte de Champreaux and Valprune, rooted in deep limestone soils, impart breadth and dynamism to the cuvée, where energy and textural richness coexist in harmony, offering an authentic reflection of the terroir.
This edition, Millésime 2017, is vinified and matured 50% in oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks, a choice that balances depth with precision. The oak enhances texture and allows gentle micro-oxygenation, while the stainless steel preserves freshness and aromatic clarity. After bottling, the wine ages on its lees for at least 7 years, developing layered complexity and structural cohesion. With no final dosage (0 g/l), Brut Nature, the profile remains dry and focused, highlighting the purity of the fruit and the transparency of the vintage.ì
On the palate, CĂ©pages Blancs 2017 opens with aromas of ripe citrus, crisp pear and white flowers, enriched by delicate hints of fresh almond and chalky nuances. It combines breadth and tension, with an enveloping structure supported by vibrant acidity and a pronounced mineral backbone. The finish is long and linear, closing on a clean, saline note that underscores its balance, depth and refined elegance.
