Champagne Marie Courtin
Prestance 2021
The Champagne Prestance by Marie-Courtin is a cuvée of remarkable expressive purity, crafted exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown according to biodynamic principles. The fruit comes from a single 2.5-hectare vineyard located in the village of Polisot, in one of the most representative areas of the Côte des Bar, on Kimmeridgian soils with an east/south-east exposure. The vines, propagated through massal selection, preserve intra-varietal genetic diversity and strengthen the bond between plant and terroir, giving the cuvée a deep and distinctive territorial signature.
This edition, Millésime 2021, is vinified and aged exclusively in terracotta amphorae, a radical choice that enhances the artisanal essence and expressive purity of the wine. After bottling, it matures for at least 36 months on its lees, before dégorgement with a minimal dosage, in perfect Extra Brut style. The result is a Champagne that interprets Pinot Noir with rigor and luminosity, expressing it through an aesthetic of precision and purity that reflects the vision of Dominique Moreau, a leading figure of Champagne purism.
On the palate, Prestance stands out for its vertical and ultra-refined style. The nose reveals notes of quince, lemon tart, and verbena, on a delicately creamy background. The palate is precise and lifted, driven by a mineral freshness that challenges the typical profile of the grape variety. The perlage is fine and bright, the attack savory, and the finish tense, long, and radiantly mineral. An intense and graceful cuvée that authentically embodies the most essential and luminous vision of Blanc de Noirs Champagne.
