60/40 Millésime 2019

The Champagne 60/40 Millésime 2019 by Elemart Robion is born from a distinctive and identity-driven blend of 60% Meunier and 40% Chardonnay, sourced from parcels cultivated in the villages of Lhéry and Couragnon, in the heart of the Vallée de l’Ardre. This Millésime reflects the balance between the exuberant energy of Meunier and the finesse of Chardonnay, in a vintage that delivered healthy, perfectly ripe grapes.

Vinification followed a respectful, non-interventionist approach aimed at preserving the expressive integrity of the fruit. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, followed by at least 36 months of aging on the lees, which gave the cuvée depth and complexity without compromising vibrancy and tension. The low dosage of just 2 g/l (Extra Brut)reflects the vigneron's essential style, focused on purity and precision.

On the palate, 60/40 Millésime 2019 opens with refined notes of white peach, fresh almond, and candied citrus, accompanied by a light spiciness and chalky nuances. The palate is taut and dynamic, supported by lively freshness and a creamy texture that evolves with elegance. The finish is savory, precise, and persistent, bearing witness to the meticulous care devoted to grape selection and aging time.

Elemart Robion

In Lhéry, a small village in the Vallée de l'Ardre, southwest of the Montagne de Reims, there is the Robion family, fourth generation vignerons. In 2010 Catherine and Thierry Robion, now surrounded by their children, decided to convert their vineyards to organic farming. A true love for the land and for wine passed on to their children and more specifically to Eloi who follows the work in the vineyard and the elaboration of the Cuvée.

Elmart is the association of the first syllables of the first names of Catherine and Thierry's three children: Eloi, Leopold and Martin. Thierry and Eloi Robion's organic practices are therefore naturally at the service of their vineyards, to allow them to express all their richness. The Domaine Elemart Robion's winery is equipped with the most modern and recognised pressing and fermentation systems which, in fact, contribute to the high precision and quality of the wines. Only steel is used for the entire production, which is around 20,000 bottles per year.

The Robions translate their art into organic champagne created around the Meunier vine which, with this subsoil of calcareous-sandy origin on the one hand, and clayey on the other, expresses itself in an atypical and absolutely innovative way compared to the great classics of the Vallée de la Marne.
