Eloquence 2019
The Champagne Eloquence by Marie Courtin is a Blanc de Blancs obtained entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in the village of Polisot, in the renowned Côte des Bar, where Kimmeridgian soils rich in fossils shape a crystalline and identity-driven expression. The philosophy of this cuvée is based on massal selection, a practice that preserves the genetic diversity of the vines and strengthens their dialogue with the terroir, returning to the bottle a faithful and refined portrait of the Chardonnay of the Côte des Bar.
This edition, Vintage 2019, involves vinification and maturation carried out between barrique and stainless steel tanks to find a harmonious balance between aromatic complexity and varietal freshness. After tirage follows an ageing of around 48 months on the lees that enriches the olfactory texture and gustatory depth, while the final dosage, in Extra Brut style, underlines the crystalline purity and expressive integrity of the fruit.
On tasting, Eloquence 2019 unveils a delicate and multifaceted bouquet, with floral notes and citrus nuances interwoven in a dialogue of rare aromatic finesse. On the palate a vibrant and savoury structure emerges, sustained by a deep minerality that amplifies the verticality of the mouthfeel, while the finish prolongs a harmonious and energetic trail, sculpted by a marked sapidity that confers elegance, precision and remarkable persistence.
