Champagne Egly-Ouriet
Les Prémices
The Champagne Les Prémices by Egly-Ouriet offers a precise and approachable interpretation of the Trigny terroir, in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, near the village of Merfy. It comes from a 3.5-hectare parcel with old vines over 40 years of age, expressed through the estate’s rigorous style, combining depth, fruit maturity and strong territorial definition.
This edition, base vintage 2021, is made from an equal blend of Pinot Noir grapes, Chardonnay and Meunier. Vinification and fermentation occur naturally using only indigenous yeasts, while after tirage it undergoes at least 48 months on lees. The final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style, preserves a tense and precise profile.
On the palate, Les Prémices shows an elegant and dynamic profile, with notes of ripe fruit, citrus, dried flowers and light spicy nuances. It is creamy, clean and well-balanced, supported by freshness, substance and a long, savory and progressive finish.
