Champagne Egly-Ouriet
Rosé
The Champagne Rosé by Egly-Ouriet takes shape in the Montagne de Reims, bringing together the character of three Grand Cru villages such as Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay. In these areas, Pinot Noir expresses different profiles between structure, breadth and tension, thanks to chalky soils and varied exposures. The production philosophy aims to enhance the terroir through rigorous vineyard practices and low yields, delivering an authentic and recognizable expression.
This edition, base harvest 2019, is based predominantly on Pinot Noir (around 70%) with a component of Chardonnay, complemented by a portion of red wine from Ambonnay for color. Vinification and fermentation take place in wood, with a significant presence of vin de réserve contributing to complexity, while after tirage it undergoes around 60 months on the lees. The final dosage of 1 g/l, in Extra Brut style, highlights a precise and dry profile.
On the palate, it reveals notes of fresh red fruits, pomegranate and light spicy nuances, supported by a clear mineral backbone. It stands out for its structure and energy, with incisive freshness guiding the palate towards a long and consistent finish, reflecting the balance between power and finesse of its villages of origin.
