The Champagne Empreintes from Domaine des Tuileries is conceived as an identity-driven interpretation of Pinot Noir grown on the hillsides of Venteuil, in the Vallée de la Marne. Bryan Marx continues here the project he founded in 2018, based on respectful agriculture and on the enhancement of the village’s chalk and clay-limestone soils. The aim remains to craft a Champagne that combines energy, precision and depth, while preserving the expressive purity that distinguishes the family parcels selected for this cuvée.

This edition, Millésime 2021, is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, vinified and aged in fût de chêne, in line with the Domaine’s artisanal philosophy. Fermentations occur spontaneously, with minimal intervention, while ageing continues for at least 36 months in Venteuil’s natural chalk cellars, where stable temperatures allow for slow and harmonious development. The absence of dosage defines a Brut Nature style—transparent and direct—privileging authenticity and clarity.

On the palate, Empreintes 2021 opens with delicate notes of crisp red berries, citrus zest, almond nuances and subtle toasted hints typical of barrel ageing. The palate is taut and vertical yet also enveloping, thanks to the natural structure of Pinot Noir; the balance between mineral energy and substance delivers a dynamic and precise progression. The finish is clean and vibrant, marked by echoes of dark fruit, gentle spice and a refined salinity that extends the wine with elegance.
