The Champagne Carrés du Midi by Maison Gamet is a Blanc de Noirs from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested from a single vineyard plot (Lieu-Dit) planted in 1969 near the village of Mardeuil in the Vallée de la Marne.

Harvest 2019 with vinification and ageing for 10 months in oak barrels, second fermentation in the bottle for a further 36 months before dégorgement. Dosage of 0 g/l - making it a Brut Nature.

The 2019 vintage was a generally warm and yielded grapes of good maturity and optimal concentration, so the Champagne Carrés du Midi combines its richness and delicacy while offering great freshness.

Gamet

Champagne Gamet, based in Mardeuil on the Left Bank of the Vallée de la Marne, traces its origins back to the post-war period thanks to the initiative of Victoire Garnier and Berthe Heucq, who began restoring the family vineyards with the aim of enhancing the role of the winegrower. In 1993, Philippe Gamet and Fabienne Heucq officially founded the Maison, now run together with their children Jean-François, an oenologist, and Marianne, both actively involved in the development and growth of the Domaine.

The Gamet family cultivates around 8 hectares with a sustainable approach certified HVE, favoring viticulture that respects natural rhythms. The vineyards, aged between 25 and 50 years, extend across both banks of the Marne, particularly in Fleury-la-Rivière, on clay-limestone and sandy soils that give the wines balance between structure and softness, along with a marked mineral character.

In the cellar, vinification takes place both in stainless steel tanks and in oak barrels selected from Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Loire, with the aim of enhancing the complexity of the blends. The Domaine style reflects a balance between tradition and personal interpretation: Philippe focuses on harmonious blended cuvées, while Jean-François develops a range of single-parcel Champagnes, offering a direct expression of the terroirs of the Vallée de la Marne.
