The Champagne Acacia from Domaine des Tuileries is conceived as an identity-driven interpretation of Meunier grown on the hillsides of Venteuil, in the Vallée de la Marne, where Bryan Marx has been carrying forward since 2018 a project focused on respectful agriculture and artisanal winemaking. The chalky and loamy-clay soils, together with parcels aged between 30 and 40 years, define a terroir capable of expressing depth, energy, and authenticity. The domaine’s philosophy — now in organic conversion and certified since 2022 — is to allow each cuvée to portray a precise facet of the village, avoiding standardization while favoring spontaneity, precision, and identity.

This Millésime 2020 edition stems from a particularly careful winemaking process, with spontaneous fermentations and maturation in wood, partly in acacia barrels, an element that brings verticality and a distinctive structure to the wine. After tirage, aging continues for a minimum of 36 months, allowing the wine to harmonize its aromatic profile with the more tactile, earthy character typical of Meunier. No final dosage is added, in Brut Nature style, a choice that preserves fruit purity and a clear reading of the terroir.

On the palate, Acacia initially presents smoky and woody notes that find balance with aeration, gradually revealing aromas of yellow fruit, citrus, dried flowers, hints of wet stone, and subtle tropical nuances. The palate shows mineral tension, vibrant acidity, fine tannins, important yet dynamic structure, and a dry, saline, essential finish. The persistence is elegant, with fruit-driven echoes and a verticality that almost recalls a Burgundian style.
