The Champagne Pinot Noir by Elise Dechannes is a Blanc de Noirs that carries all the identity of Les Riceys, the southernmost enclave of the Côte des Bar where Pinot Noir finds one of its most authentic expressions. It is born from Kimmeridgian soils rich in limestone and marl, the same that characterise nearby Chablis, worked with deep respect for nature and biodiversity, through hand weeding and minimal interference in the vineyard. The result is a clear and sincere wine, where aromatic finesse and saline tension tell of a vocated terroir and an artisanal approach that lets nature speak.

This edition, Vintage 2015, is born exclusively from Pinot Noir and undergoes vinification and maturation carried out among steel, wood and sandstone amphorae, with indigenous yeasts and a minimal use of sulphur. After bottling comes a long ageing on the lees for around 9 years that builds complexity and finesse, while the decision to leave the wine with no final dosage, in a Brut Nature style, enhances its precision and expressive verticality.

On tasting, it reveals a taut and finely woven profile, supported by a mature and perfectly integrated acidity that lends momentum and definition to the palate. The texture is both delicate and savoury, with a saline progression that amplifies freshness and depth, accompanying a linear feel of great precision. The balance between fruit and minerality delivers a long and vibrant persistence, where an elegant bitter note signs off a clean, refined finish of great expressive coherence. Production in a limited run of 890 bottles.
