Coteaux Champenois Chavost

Vin Rouge


The Côteaux Champenois Rouge by Chavost is a red wine made from a blend of 66% Pinot Noir and 34% Meunier grapes harvested from chalky terroir around the village of Chavot-Courcout. Harvest 2023 with natural vinification in oak barrels with no added sulphites. Matured for about 18 months and no filtration before bottling in May 2025 for only 823 bottles.

On the nose the wine is very powerful, with aromas of red fruits such as cherry and blackcurrant, accompanied by delicate peppery notes. On the palate it is very structured and rich, completely enveloping the palate with silky tannins, concluding in a very long and vinous finish, rich in red fruits.


Chavost

The Cooperative Chavost , which takes its name from the ancient village of Chavot-Courcourt, south of Epernay in the Vallée de la Marne, was founded in 1946 by a group of winegrowers from the village. Strengthened by the collective values of solidarity, sharing and love of their land, today there are more than 100 growers, who work their own parcels of land according to a very strict internal discipline, covering an area of more than 70 hectares around the village. The aim is to create unique vintage wines that will be the basis of exclusive cuvées.



The commitment of Chavost Cooperative to preserving the environment, the land and the excellence of the wines is constantly expanding, along with the range of Champagnes offers, which now also include those without added sulphites, singular and strongly identifiable, in addition to the traditional ones. Champagne Chavost are Champagne with a strong personality, conveyed to them by the hand of Fabian Daviaux, Chef de Caves who favours atypical, non-interventionist winemaking.
