Champagne Origines Croisées by Bertrand-Delespierre is the result of the blending in equal parts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the property vineyards of the Premier Crus of Chamery and Ecueil, in the Montagne de Reims.This Champagne is a tribute to the origins of the Domaine and the two vines symbolize the union of the two families: the Bertrand Chardonnay blends with the Delespierre Pinot Noir to produce a wine as powerful as refined.Based on the 2014 harvest with the addition of vins de réserve, Champagne Origines Croisées ages in demi-muid (600L barrels); long refinement on its own yeasts before dégorgement and dosage of 2 g/l (Extra Brut).On the nose it is fresh and ripe, with citrus notes that blend with notes of baked apple and toasted brioche. The palate is long, round and enveloping, with a body that combines vinosity and freshness. Balanced and elegant, it is characterized by a delicious chalky touch, salinity, citrus aromas and toasted notes... A decidedly gourmand Champagne.
