Champagne Bertrand-Delespierre
Chardonnay des Terres Amoureuses 2016
The Champagne Chardonnay des Terres Amoureuses by Bertrand-Delespierre is produced in the Premier Crus of Chamery and Écueil, in the Montagne de Reims, from estate-owned vineyards dedicated to Chardonnay. It is a Blanc de Blancs conceived as an elegant and restrained interpretation of the variety in a territory historically associated with Pinot Noir, where cool exposures and soil composition help shape a profile of finesse, tension, and expressive depth.
This Millésime 2016 edition involves vinification and part of the ageing in 600-litre demi-muids, a choice that supports the wine’s evolution without overshadowing its varietal identity. After bottling, the wine matures on its own lees for at least five years before disgorgement, with a final dosage of 2 g/l, in Extra Brut style.
On tasting, Chardonnay des Terres Amoureuses stands out for its fine and elegant profile, supported by a well-balanced structure. The nose reveals delicate notes of quince and citrus, while on the palate the citrus character is joined by well-calibrated acidity and precise salinity, guiding the wine toward a harmonious and persistent finish.
