The Champagne Charme Noir by Maxime Ponson comes from the Petite Montagne de Reims, a sub-region whose sandy, friable soils lend the wines freshness and expressive immediacy. A sincere expression of this landscape, the cuvée gathers the soul of Premier Cru vineyards farmed with a sustainable, non-interventionist approach, where the producing philosophy favours full respect for the environment and the ability to convey in the wine the most authentic truth of the place it comes from.

This edition, based on the 2020 harvest, is enriched with around 24% of vin de réserve that broadens the aromatic depth and lends greater complexity to the final result. The blend brings together Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay grapes in almost equal parts, while vinification and fermentation follow a natural path free of filtration, cold stabilisation and temperature control. After tirage comes an ageing on the lees of at least 48 months, and the final dosage of 4 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, delivers a profile of great finesse and precise structure.

On tasting, Charme Noir stands out for an intense and enveloping bouquet, where vibrant fruity notes intertwine with delicate hints of toasted hazelnut. On the palate the texture reveals a harmonious fusion of freshness and structure, with a fine perlage accompanying a balanced development and a long, refined persistence, in a clean finish that seals its elegance and depth.
