We are in Ludes, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims; here Arthur Lelièvre together with his sister Ophélie began producing their own Champagnes, the Arthur Lelièvre Champagnes, in 2021. Son of sixth generation winemakers - the Forget-Chauvet Champagne Maison has been in his family since 1950 - Arthur has always breathed the essence of the land and the vineyards, learning the secrets of the champenoise tradition.

Enterprising and passionate, Arthur felt the call of his creativity and the desire to explore new horizons by seeking his own path in the world of wine. Experimenting with different grape varieties, winemaking and aging techniques, Arthur Lelièvre Champagnes tell a story of exploration in the continuous search for new sensory expressions.

Arthur cultivates small parcels of vineyards all located within the municipality of Ludes following the principles of sustainable viticulture which translates into a holistic approach, with the aim of preserving the natural balance of the soil. In the cellar, his philosophy is reflected in his non-interventionist approach which aims to preserve the purity of the grapes. Plot vinification in 228 and 350 liter fût de chêne, use of indigenous yeasts and refinement for at least two years on the yeasts with disgorgement following the phases of the waning moon.

Arthur's minimalist practices are inspired by the Burgundian style, an interpretation that aims to emphasize the complexity and aromatic richness of his wines, a tribute to the Ludes terroir. With a limited production of approximately 3500 bottles, Arthur stands out for his mastery of the use of wood which gives his Champagnes extraordinary depth and elegance, a true joy for the senses.
