The Champagne Enfant de la Montagne by Bertrand-Delespierre is conceived as a territorial expression of the Montagne de Reims, crafted through the assemblage of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier sourced exclusively from estate-owned vineyards located in the crus of Chamery, Écueil, Villedommange, and Montbré, all classified as Premier Cru. A cuvée that reflects a classic vision of Champagne, built on the complementarity of the grape varieties and a broad, coherent reading of the territory.
This edition, with a 2022 base vintage, incorporates 40% vins de réserve, a key element in shaping depth and stylistic continuity. The restrained dosage of 1 g/l (Extra Brut) supports a solid structure and well-defined substance, without weighing down the wine’s overall profile.
On tasting, Enfant de la Montagne opens on the nose with fruity and floral notes, enriched by citrus nuances and mineral hints. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and tension, underpinned by a marked minerality that extends the wine’s progression. The overall impression is balanced, satisfying, and distinctly gourmand, with a clean, persistent finish.
