Campania Remensis 2022

The Champagne Campania Remensis by Bérêche & Fils is a Rosé d'Assemblage of a delicately pink colour, whose name recalls the first denomination the Romans gave to the terroirs around Reims, a testament to a deep historical and territorial bond. It comes to life from a single three-hectare parcel at Ormes, in the Petite Montagne de Reims, where the old, south-facing vines of Les Montées (lieu-dit) grow on sandy, light soils that give the wine finesse and aromatic grace.

This edition, Vintage 2022, shows a clear predominance of Pinot Noir grapes at 75%, joined by 20% Chardonnay and 5% vin rouge, with vinification and fermentation carried out in new oak barrels thanks to indigenous yeasts alone and minimal intervention. After the tirage comes an ageing of 36 months on its own lees, while the final dosage of 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, brings out freshness, tension and precision.

On tasting, Campania Remensis 2022 expresses itself with a refined, vibrant profile, where fresh strawberry and floral notes intertwine with hints of ripe cherry, cranberry, white pepper, mint and subtle mineral nuances. On the palate it is airy and graceful, with a delicate, captivating texture and a fine, incisive bead that sculpt its definition and character, while the fresh, saline finish leaves an elegant and long-lasting impression. Production in a limited run of 6,700 bottles and 340 magnums.
