The Champagne Brut Nature by Rémi Leroy originates in Meurville, in the southern sector of the Côte des Bar, a territory marked by strong geological identity, where Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils provide ideal conditions for precision viticulture. Rémi Leroy’s vision is deeply artisanal and focused on a faithful interpretation of both vineyard and vintage, with meticulous work in the vines and a measured, essential cellar approach, free from stylistic excess, aimed at producing Champagnes defined by tension, balance, and expressive clarity.

This edition, based on the 2022 harvest and completed with 15% vin de réserve, shows a prevalence of Pinot Noir grapes (65%), alongside 30% Chardonnay and a small share of Meunier (5%). Vinification and fermentation follow a gentle pressing and take place partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, with full malolactic fermentation. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for 24 months, and at dégorgement it is finished with no final dosage, in Brut Nature style.

In tasting, this Brut Nature shows a bright straw-yellow colour with a fine, continuous perlage. The aromatic profile is precise and restrained, revealing notes of white-fleshed fruit, ripe citrus, subtle hints of hazelnut, and mineral nuances. On the palate, the attack is taut and direct, supported by vibrant freshness and a saline texture that guides the progression. The structure is linear and well balanced, finishing dry, clean, and persistent, fully consistent with Rémi Leroy’s rigorous, terroir-driven interpretation of Brut Nature Champagne.
